90: Automate your Social Media Content with Gabrielle Chipeur (Part 2)

What are you meant to do when you kids crash into the middle of a podcast recording? According to Gabrielle, just calmly tell them that you’ll be done soon and keep rolling!! (Watch out for it at the 22-minute mark).

Gabrielle chose to quit her corporate job and work from home exactly because she wanted to be around for her kids. Juggling her business and her kids has given birth to some incredible technological short cuts and automation that we can all benefit from.

In this episode, Gabrielle explains the tools and tricks you need to automate your social media, set up the right database system for your business and much more. She also shares her struggle of letting go and trusting others, which is crucial for scaling your business. Tune in for an episode packed with big value and little surprises.

My Guest: Gabrielle Chipeur

Gabrielle Chipeur is a marketing automation specialist who’s spent the last 16 years at the crossroads of design, technology and online education. Besides helping coaches put their business on autopilot, she’s worked with Fortune 50 companies, international best-selling authors and world-renowned motivational speakers to grow their business and expand their reach.

Gabrielle started her freelance business 10 years ago when she decided to stay at home with her children instead of going back to corporate. After struggling with 6 years of stagnation that came from focusing on the wrong things while she juggled small children, client projects and a pesky need for sleep, she transformed her business and documented all the lessons she learned along the way in her book, Secret Weapon.

She lives just outside of the mountains in Canada with her family and a small menagerie of animals and when she’s not up to her elbows in tech she’s usually covered in paint or cooking up something in the kitchen.

Episode Highlights:

[02:38] My mom did well for us, but she was just never there. So I grew up going like, “Oh, I don’t want to do that… I want to have a steady job so I can come home and be around for them.”

[10:02] You can ask for referrals and still be premium. Because generally, if you’re working with premium clients, their network are going to be other premium clients.

[22:51] Can we break here for a second? I don’t know if you guys noticed, but Gabrielle just had a delicious small person come in. I didn’t see her, but I heard the little person voice.

[25:02] So yeah, my business has to fit around tiny little kids making interruptions as I’m doing podcast interviews and you know, having to drive the kids back and forth to school and sometimes those interruptions and we just roll with it.

[31:17] There’s some programs like Dubsado or there’s 17hats. And you know, there’s a couple other ones that are all-in-one kind of platforms. And then, if all else fails, usually I can connect things together with Zapier.

[38:34] Estie: What do you still struggle with?

Gabrielle:That the biggest thing for me, and especially now that since I’m transitioning into not only just doing my services, but also teaching other people how to be a better service provider. The big thing for me is kind of letting go of things and trusting others.
